Cycling Route Along the Borders of Żnin Municipality
from Żnin through Paryż to Brzeziny

ROUTE

The route follows the western, northern, and slightly eastern borders of Żnin Municipality.
It begins at the market square in Żnin and passes through the picturesque, lesser-known western and northern parts of the municipality.
The terrain is fairly even – the total elevation gain over nearly 60 km is 248 meters.
The route mostly features long climbs with gentle inclines.
The estimated travel time is 3 hours. With stops at designated rest points or while visiting manor complexes, it may extend by an additional hour.
Surface: mostly asphalt roads, but in several sections there are gravel, sandy roads, low-quality asphalt covered with sand (from Paryż toward Nowina, from Gorzyce to Dochanowo, from Brzyskorzystwi to Obrona Leśna, from Sobiejuch to Redczyce), or a beautifully preserved cobblestone section (so-called “cobblestones”) from Uścikowo to Ustaszewo.
Due to the varied surfaces, a touring or mountain bike is recommended.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

The diversity of the landscape and relatively low vehicle traffic make the route highly scenic.
Passing through small towns and villages gives insight into the everyday life of local residents.
Despite the fairly long distance, the ride is not particularly difficult, and the effort is rewarded by beautiful views of cultivated fields.
The route does not feature particularly distinctive landmarks, but everyone can find something of interest – from lovers of manor complexes, to those interested in spiritual monuments, to people who appreciate close contact with nature.
Planned stops along the route allow for rest, but also to pause, reflect on history, and listen to people who have dedicated their lives to exploring our small homeland, sharing their knowledge and passion with others.
