The forest reserve (16.8 ha) is located in the area of Nadleśnictwo Szubin [the Szubin Forest District]. Its northern border is Kanał Notecki [the Noteć Channel]. There is a part of a natural deciduous forest that is protected under law and which contains tilia platyphyllos (the northern border of its occurrence cuts across Poland). In the reserve there are also ash and riparian alder forests, and a type of oak–hornbeam forest. In the groundcover one can see protected species of spurge laurel and common ivy, and there is also a very rare protected species of wild garlic.
